MacBook Pro recovery in Salt Lake City, Utah, US
The thief of Kenneth Koldewyn's MacBook Pro thought he was selling the stolen Mac to an unknowing buyer. Instead he ran into the trap Kenneth and the police had set up for him after responding to his Craigslist ad.

"After one of our MacBooks in our office was stolen late last year, we decided to protect ourselves with the affordable Undercover software. When one of our MacBook Pros went missing, we notified Undercover of the theft and they promptly activated the tracking software. The police were not able to immediately trace the IP address, but with the help of screenshots and webcam pictures, we were able to identify the thief, get his e-mail address, and the Craigslist ad in which he intended to sell the computer. With some more snooping around we even found his Facebook profile! We responded to the Craigslist ad and set up a time to meet and purchase the computer."
"With the help of the police, we were able to apprehend the thief and retrieve the computer in less than a week!"
The screenshot above shows Kenneth emailing the thief, pretending to be a potential buyer.
